Open call for grant applications: researchers & non-profits in psychedelic science

Norrsken Mind offers funding opportunities to European researchers and non-profit initiatives in psychedelic science. Applications for funding must address at least one of the foundation’s three focus areas: research, education and implementation.

We are interested in research that advances the understanding of the therapeutic potential of psychedelic substances in a broad sense. In addition to clinical trials on treatment efficacy, we are particularly intrigued by the range of questions relevant to regulatory agencies, healthcare payers and other mental health stakeholders.

Simply put, Norrsken Mind seeks to support high-impact projects to lay the foundation for a safe and effective implementation of psychedelic-assisted treatments in European healthcare systems. To that end, we are also accepting applications beyond research. Such projects could, for example, include efforts to educate and engage key stakeholders or offering training for therapists and other health care professionals.

Eligible applicants include researchers affiliated with a European university, as well as non-profit organizations and private individuals in Europe. We do not grant funding to companies.

About Norrsken Mind

Norrsken Mind is a foundation focused on supporting research on psychedelic substances and their potential to treat mental health disorders. We aim to improve the understanding of psychedelic-assisted therapies and catalyse progress towards treatment implementations in Europe. Norrsken Mind is a continuation of Osmond Foundation, which funded the first modern Swedish clinical trial using psilocybin-assisted therapy to treat depression at Karolinska Institutet.
