The ICPR & Pathways to Access Summit on June 5-8: Psychedelic research and patient access

The Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research (ICPR) is returning for its sixth edition on June 6-8, 2024. In the day preceding ICPR on June 5, the Pathways to Access Summit (PATHS) convenes key stakeholders from Europe and beyond to explore the opportunities and challenges around the development, approval, and potential integration of psychedelic medicines into European health care.

The societal challenges with mental health disorders and the lack of progress with developing more effective treatments are two defining issues of our time. While psychedelic-assisted treatments present a promising path forward, Europe is lagging. Creating opportunities for discussions and collaborations between European stakeholders in mental health and psychedelic science is key to promote further progress and lay the groundwork for patient access. Norrsken Mind is proud to support these efforts by sponsoring ICPR and co-organizing PATHS, alongside Blossom, Open Foundation, PAREA and Psychedelic Alpha.

ICPR

ICPR is the leading conference on psychedelic research and therapies in Europe, organized since 2010 by the Open Foundation. In Haarlem, the Netherlands, ICPR 2024 will feature up to 100 world-renowned experts from various academic disciplines, including psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, anthropology, ethnobotany, and philosophy. These professionals will converge on June 6-8, 2024, for a scientific conference for academics, therapists, researchers, clinicians, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and members of the public.

In addition to a wide array of speakers from interdisciplinary backgrounds, ICPR 2024 will include panel discussions, workshops, symposia, film screenings, and networking opportunities.

PATHS

The full-day Pathways to Access Summit (PATHS) convenes key stakeholders from Europe and beyond on June 5, 2024, to explore the opportunities and challenges around the development, approval, and potential integration of psychedelic medicines into European health care.

PATHS will unravel the complexities of European regulatory frameworks, addressing the diverse and ever-changing healthcare systems, assessments for pricing and reimbursement, and unique regulatory challenges. The summit will cover which stakeholders to engage with at each stage of the journey from bench to bedside, how to effectively navigate the European regulatory landscape, and offer a well-rounded perspective on the different approaches and best practices to psychedelic medicine regulation.

ICPR and PATHS will be held at the Philharmonie, in the historic center of Haarlem, adjacent to Amsterdam.
